Effective immediately, the Town of Rice Lake has updated the burn ban as follows:
A burning ban continues for all brush piles, but fires in campfire rings and burn barrels are allowed as well as grilling. It’s recommended to call a board supervisor (see listing below) prior to any burning and notify the Sheriff’s Department at 715-537-3106.

Due to extreme fire conditions, a Red Flag Warning has been issued today, April 30, 2018. Under this warning, ABSOLUTELY NO BURNING IS ALLOWED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. All burning in barrels, debris or brush piles, grass or wooded areas is prohibited. In addition, no campfires, fireworks, outdoor smoking, or disposing of matches, ashes, or charcoal briquettes into the outdoors is allowed.
